There is only one Otter Officer for all of Sussex. With more people looking we can find much more out about whats happening with wetland wildlife across the County and in your local area.
So when you are out and about enjoying the countryside, if you see an otter, water vole or any other wetland species then let us know. The information we require is the time, date and location (preferable a six figure grid reference) of your sighting and your contact details. Better still keep a note of everything you see in this spreadsheet (click here to download SXBRC Species Recorder).
Alternatively you can help us find out what wildlife is in your area by helping to organise a Parish Survey.
Local Groups
A number of local wildlife groups operate throughout Sussex. Helping in your local group can provide invaluable volunteers, time and resources to help conserve your local area.
